I play a lot of werid freaky games but also I have been trying to catch up with some of the classics. I love myself a good rougelike, immserive sim, or rpg. I also have a lot of old consoles and a emulation machine;. My favorite is my PS2.
Games
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
So, to start this off, I'm not a good fighter gamer. I have tired many, many, many times to get more into fighting games. I have tired Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibar, Street Fighter, and a bit of Tekken, but I was kind of overwhelmed with just how much was happening behind it all and the trick to it that I would end up just dropping them. But this is different because there is a lot happening all the time, but I feel as if I can control it a bit. With having a team of three characters to switch around I never feel bored and I can always experiment and practice without feeling like I'm wasting my time because all of it feeds into itself. You get points to unlock more random stuff but also other characters which while a bit sucky is better than most fighting games, making you pay for the new DLC character fighter. As of now, I'm mainly messing with characters like Vemon, Iceman, Tron, Cyclops and Omega Red. On the side, I sometimes mess with Jill or Dhalsim. Compared to other games I have played, I can really feel the difference between these characters and see what the strengths and weaknesses are. I'm starting to get that rush of pulling off some basic combos right now and learning how to chain better. I'm sort of getting into the grind of it and really testing it out. Also, before you ask, I do not have the new collection edition of this game. I have been playing it on my modded ps2, which might help my experience, although I do know that some people like the dreamcast version of which I have, not the game but the dreamcast. I don't care really. I'm having fun with it. Hoping I can at least get half the rooster open before summer, but knowing me even if I do, I'll be sticking with my mains, Aka Tron being a peak character that I loved from the start. I mean a giant mech with little guys following, what is not to love.
World of Goo/Little Inferno
Both of these games are so damn simple but they just ooze with charm in their dark worlds. Honestly I feel as if this was some of the first art that I realized was trying to say something about the government and comanpies as a kid, which may have lead in some twisted to the kind of media I like now. I have respectfully play throught these game many time. The only other game that may have it beat for the most replayed in my life is Plants vs Zombies. (most likely I will write about on this page soon) But anyways to start off I'll get into World of Goo. I have played this on Wii, mobile and PC all the way through, there is not really one I like more than another but I do hold the Wii version a bit closer, just for the motion control charm of it all. I think World of Goo is so well structure in these sense of mechanics and story almost being knotted together. Every new aspect added to the game builds up the world environmentally. I mean to start it is just these goo balls building structures and towers to get to a pipe, an that in itself is rather simple, but then you add ballons to help keep you up, you get green plant goos that can be used and reused unlike the normal goo ball. An that is only the tip with more and more being put in to complicate such a simple idea as getting a bunch objects to goal. But it the story is not just told by the mechanics, its also told almost sort of directly to you the player. Scattered around the levels are helpful signs but the one and only sign painter. Often there to give hints and tips, but also futher flesh out what exactly is happening in this World of Goo. The Sign Painter is almost a sort of narrator that you kind of connect with throught the journey of the game. Also I would be crazy if I did not talk about the music. Its iconic with these strings and horns, with it ranging to these gremlin festival celebration that are just so full of energy to these errie light mysterious melodies or just full blown majestic orchestras just filling the level with all these feelings of hope and fear and AHHHHHHH. I love it. But then you move on to the next game 2D Boy made being Little Inferno, of which I believe had to kickstart a good amount of kids being part time pyromaniacs.

Goat Sim
I played this so so so much as a kid. I had just about all of the DLC's like the Zombie one, the Space one, the MMO. I even know about the app version of which had a map exclusive to it that was a highschool or college. I was locked into it, trying to finding all of the secerts, easter eggs, and achievements. Goat Sim 3 is fun, but it does not have the same spark fully of the og. The jank of it all was just charming.
